Online Payments
I accept payments online through PayPal. PayPal allows you to make payments for your bankruptcy case using all major credit and debit cards, as well as directly from your checking account. Please note that this is the only way I can process credit or debit card payments. If you do not already have a PayPal buyer's account, there is a pretty simple setup that you will be taken through as part of the payment process.
Please note, you may not use your own credit card to make this payment if you are the person filing for bankruptcy. You may use your own checking account or debit card.
You should only make a payment using this service if we have already discussed your case and determined the appropriate chapter for filing, and you have read, signed, and returned retainer agreement for the service you have chosen.
You should only use the installment payment options below if I have agreed to accept installment payments in your case, and you have completed, signed and returned the installment payment agreement to me together with the correct retainer agreement. Please note that all payments due under an installment payment agreement, including late fees, must be paid in full before your case can be filed, unless you have an approved cosigner who has completed the cosigner application and agreement. Once your installment payment has cleared, I will email you and/or your cosigner a copy of your statement showing the payment received and the balance remaining.
If you would prefer not to use online payments, I accept personal checks, money orders, and cashier's checks by hand delivery and by mail. Please do not mail cash, and all other forms of payment should be sent by overnight or certified mail. All payments are subject to the provisions of paragraph 14 of the retainer agreement, which provides for collection costs and attorneys fees in the event a check is dishonored.
The Paypal shopping cart will open in a new window with most browsers. If you want to make multiple selections (for example, to make installment payments add up to a particular amount, use the ALT-TAB key combination to come back to this window and select another button. The shopping cart in the new window will automatically update. Once the shopping cart total is what you want, choose proceed to checkout.
Finally, payments through PayPal may take up to 7 days to process and clear your bank. Your case will not be filed until I have been able to verify that the funds have cleared. If an emergency filing is needed, you will need to use another payment option.
